The Bureau of Fire and Protection BFP in Region 9 announces the hiring of 85 Fire Officers 1. Acceptance and evaluation of application folders will be from October 21 to October 30, 2020.
Fire Officer I Qualifications
Before we proceed, check the minimum qualifications for FO1 below:
Education : Bachelor’s Degree
Eligibility : Second Level Eligibility
Age: Must not be less than twenty-one (21) nor more than thirty (30) years of age
Height :Male: Must be at least 1.62 meters or 5’4″
Female: Must be at least 1.57 meters or 5’2″
Weight: Must weigh not more or less than (5) kilograms from the standard weight corresponding his/her height, age & sex
Training: None required (pursuant to CSC Resolution Nr 1601372 promulgated on 09 December 2016)
What to submit?
Applicants are advised to submit their application folders/scanned documents in PDF format in 1 folder file with a table of contents at the Office of the Human Resource Management Section, Administrative Division through HRMS9RECRUITMENT2020@yahoo.com and Facebook account/page BFP9 Recruitment 2020, to wit:
a. Application Letter indicating the position applied for,
b. Handwritten/Computerized Personal Data Sheet (CSC Form 212, revised 2017) with recent 3.5cm x 4.5cm (passport size) picture. Print entries using Black Ballpen. Use Blue Ballpen in affixing a signature. Do NOT use sign pen;
C. Authenticated copy of the following documents:
i. Service Record (for previous government employees):
ii.Transcript of Records and College Diploma,
iii. Certificate of Second Level Eligibility from Civil Service Commission (CSC)/Professional Regulations Commission (PRC);
iv. Certificate of Waiver (for applicants with Age and/or Height deficiencies);
d. Authenticated copy of the following documents:
i.Certificate of Live Birth issued by Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA);
ii.PSA copy of Marriage Certificate (if applicable):
iii. Barangay, Mayor, Police, National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), Regional Trial Court (RTC), and Municipal Trial Court (MTC) Clearances.
E. Applicants must have and attached photocopies of the following Identification Cards such as Tax Identification, Philhealth and Pag-ibig Numbers. Photocopies of verified Phil- health Member Data Record (MDR) and Pag-ibig Member Data Form (MDF) must also be included in his/her application folder.
The Initial Screening of applicants as to age, height, and weight shall be done at the nearest Fire Station within your area then shall be certified/confirmed by the respective BFP Provincial Fire Marshal/s.
6. A Certification from the Government Health Facility or DOH accredited private laboratories that the following laboratory examinations were performed to an applicant must be attached in the application folder, to wit:
- CBC with Blood Typing
- Hepa B Screening
- Chest X-ray
- Fasting Blood Sugar (FBS)
- Serum Pregnancy Test
- Dental Panoramic X-Ray
Further, be informed that the laboratory examinations may be taken at the following Government Health Facility/DOH accredited private laboratories:
For applicants from Zamboanga City:
- BP Diagnostic and Clinical Laboratory
- Ciudad Medical Zamboanga
- Estacio Clinical Laboratory
- Zamboanga Peninsula Medical Center

SALARY GRADE: TEN (10)
BASE PAY: P29,668.00;
SUBSISTENCE- P4,500.00 EXCLUDING TAXES AND OTHER CONTRIBUTIONS)
