The Department of Labor and Employment released Department Order 209, series of 2020, a COVID 19 adjustment measures program.

Department Order 209

A safety net program that offers financial support to affected workers in private establishments that have adopted FWAS or temporary closure during the COVID-19 pandemic.

DOLE 5000 financial support

Php 5,000.00 financial support is provided to affected formal sector workers, regardless of employment status (whether permanent, probationary, or contractual), in a lump sum and non-conditionally. Relative to DOLE Labor Advisory No. 11, Series of 2020, which states that workers’ leaves of absence during the quarantine period are to be charged against their leave credits, the financial assistance may be used to cover remaining unpaid leaves of affected workers.

Eligibility

Applicant must be a private establishment that has implemented FWAS or temporary closure due to the COVID-19 pandemic

Documentary Requirements

The affected establishment must submit a. Accomplished Establishment Report Form on the COVID-19 (Labor Advisory No. 12, Series of 2020) b. Company Payroll for the month of February 2020 or earlier.

Application Procedure

1. Online submission of complete documentary requirements by the affected establishment to appropriate DOLE Regional Office or any of its Provincial/Field Offices.

2. Evaluation by concerned DOLE RO within three (3) working days upon receipt.

3. Notice of Approval or Denial through e-mail within three (3) working days, thereof

Issuance

Financial Support shall be issued directly to the beneficiary’s account at the soonest possible time upon receipt of complete documentary requirements, through the company payroll. Beneficiaries on a cash-basis payroll will receive the Financial Support through money remittance.

Retroactive Application

Formal sector workers affected by the COVID-19 pandemic prior to the effectivity date of DOLE DO 209-20 (21 March 2020) and after the onset of the pandemic (January 2020) still qualify for the CAMP.
