information needs of transportation and communications planning and policy- making
decision, as well as providing technical assistance to Offices/Agencies attached to this
Department;
• Establishes and enforces procedure standards from systems, programming and data handling
functions, as well as monitors and evaluates the performance of working units, making the
necessary action as the need arises. This takes into consideration a mini- computer systems
standard environment and the like;
• Prepares the budget, identifies the personnel requirements and training requirements as well
as allocates resources necessary for the efficient operation of the division related to the proper
maintenance and efficient management of mini/micro-computer-based system environment.
