Maine Mendoza launches her DoNation drive to aid workers

The enhanced community quarantine was implemented not only to Luzon but also to other cities in Visayas and Mindanao due to COVID 19 pandemic. This has left a lot of Filipinos unemployed. With some companies implemented the “No work, No pay” scheme, affected workers left with no choice but to abide by the rules.

Fortunately, there are good samaritans who are willing to help those who are in need. Additionally, our government is also working very hard to address the concern of Filipino citizens.

Actress Maine Mendoza launches her DoNation drive for workers affected by the Enhanced Quarantine due to Covid 19. In her post dated March 19, she expressed her concern to affected workers who live on a day to day basis.

Because of her willingness to help those who are in need, she formally started her drive where she will give displaced workers 1,000 per household through Gcash.

To qualify, just send an email together with the photo of your ID and proof of employment (Company ID or any other proof that you are currently employed but required not to work until the situation improves). Don’t forget to send your mobile number where the cash will be sent. Also, indicate your occupation and age on the title part. Send it to Maine’s email address: [email protected]

Maine even reiterated that it is for everyone.

” Wala po tayong pinipiling trabaho”. Kahit na PUV driver, construction worker, palengke vendor, helper, mangingisda, magsasaka, street sweeper, technician. Pwedeng pwede po.” Maine Mendoza writes on her Facebook post.

Meanwhile, for those who want to help and donate as well, you can send the money to her gcash number: 09563890291.

Maine mentioned that she will facilitate the donation herself and will post proof of transactions to the donors for transparency purposes.

God Bless Maine. This will be of great help to many. Check her post here.
