The Value of Interpretation

“Thus the man who is responsive to artistic stimuli reacts to the reality of dreams as does the philosopher to the reality of existence; he observes closely, and he enjoys his observation: for it is out of these images that he interprets life, out of these processes that he trains himself for life.”

― Friedrich Nietzsche

The value of interpretation lies between our perception of reality and perception of our dreams. Sometimes the interpretation creates an overwhelming distinguishing factor of wants and needs.

This is where our motivations to conduct ourselves to a higher echelon of thinking do preserve our mindset to further enhances and improve our standing to pursue knowledge and self-development.

In simple terms, we succeed in life because of the way we interpret things.

In the Oprah Show interview with Jim where he describes how visualization led to great success. Plus, find out how a $10 million check he wrote to himself eventually paid off.

According to Jim Carrey,  He used to go up in Mulholland Drive and play every night and visualize seeing himself in a room of ice broken pool having directors interested in him and people who respected him saying they like his work, this was in 1987 0r 1985 and he had nothing at that time.

He then writes himself a check for $10 million dollars for acting services rendered and he gave himself five years to make it happen, he dated it Thanksgiving of 1995 but then just before the Thanksgiving in 1995 he found out he was going to make $10 million dollars on dumb and dumber movie.

According to James Eugene Carrey was born on January 17, 1962, in Newmarket, Ontario, Canada. Carrey got his start with a spot doing stand-up at a Toronto comedy club when he was just 15 years old. By 1979 he had left the factory job as a janitor he had taken in 1978 to help support his family and was making his living as the opening act for successful comics Buddy Hackett and Rodney Dangerfield.

The Negative Interpretation

In Wikipedia, Pessimism is a negative or depressed mental attitude in which an undesirable outcome is anticipated from a given situation. Pessimists tend to focus on the negatives of life in general. … Philosophical pessimism is the related idea that views the world in a strictly anti-optimistic fashion. – Wikipedia Page

The Pessimistic view can hinder a man’s growth they look at life from the opposite perspective. They always look forward to the wrong things to happen. They anticipated it before they act. The consequences that the act will fail eventually, that’s why they are pessimistic about it so that in time they will not be disappointed if something wrong is going to happen.

There are advantages and disadvantages to being pessimistic. The advantage of it is for anticipating the wrong you will be less hurt by the outcome. You can move on immediately if the outcome is not in favor of you. But the downside of it is you always see life in a negative way.

Imagine a negative perspective that would be a tiring place to be at. It will always depreciate the value of emotions trying to make sense of the wrong result and trying to come up with a nice way to explain the good things that are happening.

Imagine when you are in a relationship and you said to yourself this will not last long at the early stage of the relationship because you anticipated that your partner will eventually left you or the relationship will not work out because it was a wrong relationship at the beginning.

Imagine a mindset that you will not going to be a success in life you were born a poor and you will die a poor. A mindset that money is an evil thing, that’s why for you it is not important.

That would be an emotionally draining perspective to look at.

The Positive Interpretation

Optimism is a mental attitude reflecting a belief or hope that the outcome of some specific endeavor, or outcomes in general, will be positive, favorable, and desirable. A common idiom used to illustrate optimism versus pessimism is a glass filled with water to the halfway point: an optimist is said to see the glass as half full, while a pessimist sees the glass as half empty. -Wikipedia page

Being optimistic has its economic advantage most of the time. It will help you to enjoy life and to see what’s really important. You don’t easily give up on circumstances because you know it is just a temporary thing. You believe that there are no permanent things in this world but change.

Your Aura is much lighter your outlook in life coincides with your values goes deeper into what you believe that will result in a positive outcome. You derive your pursuit of happiness in the core optimistic value of yourself.

If something happens that is not in favor with your anticipated result, you are just calm about it, no hush, no irritation, and no hurtful feelings.

You can say “Damn this life is a challenge” and you still pursue the goals that you believe will make you a better person. Just like a broken heart that will heal in time.

The value of interpretation comes with a territory. It will make you a better person or will slide you down to a bitter persona.
